Honua Aloha Youth Serum $58.00 for 1oz (30ml)
INGREDIENTS: Pure Vitalized Water (Aqua), Organic Coconus (Cocos nucifera) Water, Organic Aloe Vera Gel (Aloe barbadensis), Organic Rose (Rosa damascene) Hydrosol, Organi ‘Awa CO2 (Piper Methysticum), Hibiscus CO2 (Hibiscus Sabdarifffa), ‘Ōlena CO2 (Curcuma Longa), Hops CO2 (Humulus Lupulus), Organic Herbal Infusions of Noni (Morinda citrifolia), Caco (Theobroma Cacao), ‘Ōlena(Curcuma Longa), Comfrey Root & Leaf (Symphytum Officinale), Horsetail (Equisetum Arvense) in Kukui Nut (Aleurites Moluccans), Kamani (Calophyllum inophyllum) & Chia Seed (Salvia hispanica) Oils, Organic Lecithin, Ylang Ylang (Canaga Odorata), Organic Rosemary (Rosmarinus Officinalis) Antioxidant, Vitamin E, Grapefruit See Extract (Citrus Paradisi)
The serum has a light texture, it just glides on your skin and absorbs fast. Skin is super hydrate after. It has a nice scent to it. Smells like light herbal to me lol that’s just my nose! I haven’t use it consistent long enough to talk about the brightening but so far I love it for its calming and hydrating effect. The one thing I do not like about it is that it doesn’t have any ‘preservatives’. I know many consider coconut water and willowbark extract as preservatives but I just don’t feel safe. There are many Ecocert certify preservatives that are safe to use. I contacted Honua and they say Noni and Olena have both been use as traditional preservatives in Hawaiian/Polynesian cultures. So it’s up to you to decide but as for me I’ll try to use it up as soon as possible. I know we are all a little nervous about preservatives but for me anything with water in it need a preservatives. I’ll rather take my chance with the presevatives than applying mold or bacteria on my face and face infections. Honua Hawaiian Beauty Water. The box contain a sample size of 60 ml but if you purchase it on the website it’s $30 for 120 ml
Ingredients: Organic Coconut (Cocos nucifera) Water (Aqua), Organic Rose (Rosa damascena) Hydrosol, Hibiscus (Hibiscus sabdariffa), Organic Witch Hazel (Hamamelis), Ko/ Hawaiian Sugar Cane(Sucrose),Willow Bark (Salix alba), & Papaya (Carica papaya) Enzyme
Love this! Very refreshing and perfect pH of 4. Rose hydrosol will help soften, hydrate and calm redness. Hibiscus helps tone and gentle exfoliates skin. Witch hazel, willow bark, papaya enzyme offer the gentle exfoliation. Again this doesn’t contains ‘preservatives’ but since it’s mist/toner I wouldn’t mind buying it full size. I tend to up toners fast. UPDATED 10/18/2016: Please see the explanation from Kapua the creator of Honua Skincare in regarding their preservative system in the comment section 🙂
Zenziva The Gold Dust $30 for 1oz (30ml)
*Lens Culinaris (Lentils), *Curcuma longa (Turmeric), *Azadirachta (Neem), *Coriandrum sativum (Coriander), *Citrus Sinenis (Orange Peel), *Triphala: *Amalaki (Emblica officinalis), *Bibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica), *Haritaki (Terminalia chebula), *Withania Somnifera (Ashwagandha), *Ocimum Sanctum (Tulsi Leaf), *Hibiscus Flower, Hyluronic Acid *Organic Ingredient
This is manual exfoliation. It contains one of my favorite ingredients -turmeric. It’s a dry powder. You just need to add a little bit of water to make a paste. You will certainly feel the grains on your skin but it won’t scratch or irritate it.
Zenziva The chocolate body scrubs $15.00 for 3.38oz (100ml)
*Sucrose (Sugar), Sodium Chloride (Salt), *Cocos Nucifera (Coconut Oil), *Theobroma Cacao (Chocolate), *Coffea Robusta Seed powder (Coffee), Persea Gratissima (Avocado Oil), Sodium Chloride (Black Hawaiian Lava Salt), *Citrus Sinenis (Orange Peel), *Lens Culinaris (Lentils),, Aleurites Moluccana (Kukui Nut Oil), *Rosa Rubiginosa (Rose Hip Seed Oil), Aqua (Water), Vitamin E Oil, *Santalum Album (Hawaiian Sandwood oil) *Organic Ingredient
This rivals any of the chocolate scent product on the market!! Smells exactly like a hot espresso. Oh my!! You have to buy this!! If not for the scrub then for the scent therapy. I can’t get enough of it. It’s a sugar and salt scrub mix in oil that will exfoliate and moisturize your skin. One problem I have with this product. I wish it was package better. So it’s a wet scrub and the bag is pretty big. There’s no way I can finish it in one use. I wish it was in a container or a resealable bag because it’s hard to store. I tied it up with a rubber band and put in my gym bag and the oils spill everywhere. It was messy! Other than that I’m very happy with this scrub! Go get it to experience the scent!!
The Hawaiian box was beautiful curated! I really enjoyed using every single products. What’s your favorite from this box?
